Social Support
Details
The Social Support Service has a team of caring volunteers who are available to visit you in your home to provide companionship, share a cuppa and a chat, assist with shopping or provide respite for a carer.
The Social Support Coordinator will visit you in your own home to develop a Care Plan specific to your needs.
If you are feeling lonely, isolated or need an extra helping hand with your shopping needs, let us find that special person to assist you.
If you miss getting out and about and enjoy sharing morning tea, lunch or an outing with others, our Social Bus Trips are for you.
A volunteer travels on each bus to provide that little extra care and support that clients may need.

More Info
Client feedback is very important to us and, upon conclusion of all Social Bus Trips, a Feedback Form is completed by our clients. This form includes ratings on things such as: venue, MCCA staff and volunteers, venue service and food. This helps us to determine the best venues to attend in future and the trips the clients are enjoying the most. We continually strive to source new venues and exciting places to go on our trips.
A Workplace Health and Safety Assessment is completed at every venue that we attend, to ensure a safe and compatible environment for all of our clients.
We assess such things as: ramps and steps, space and capacity, disability toilet facilities and much more.
Please feel free to contact Mersey Community Care at any time with feedback or suggestions you may have for future venues or locations on: 03 6424 8883.
